Why Source
We come out fast
Fast response is the reason customers tell us they chose us. Jenni answers the phone Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, and books the next open slot for your address in any of the 20 cities we serve. One customer on Yelp, Gabby K., had us out the day after she called about an ant invasion. Same-day visits happen when the schedule allows, and we'll tell you on the call whether today is possible.
Eaves brushed and cobwebs cleared every visit
Every service visit includes brushing the eaves and clearing the cobwebs. It takes down webs, egg sacs and the insects collecting in them, and the eaves are one of the places brown widows like to build. Customers mention it in their reviews, because the outside of the house looks clean again afterward.
Free return visits between scheduled ones
If pests come back between the scheduled visits on your Monthly, Every Other Month or Quarterly plan, we come back at no charge. Call (951) 535-4220, tell Jenni what's back and where you're seeing it, and she'll find the next open slot for your address.
An owner who knows this valley's pests
Jared Brown has worked every position in pest control. He knows what Argentine ants do after the first rain in Murrieta, how roof rats use palms and utility lines to reach a Temecula attic, and why black widows settle into the block walls and garages of a new French Valley tract.
Technicians who work the same areas
We can't promise the same technician every time, but we try to keep technicians in the same areas, so customers get to know the person who looks after their home. Our reviews name Jason, Romel, Lorenzo and Kenny.
A local office in Murrieta
When you call (951) 535-4220, Jenni Lara picks up at our office on Technology Drive, and Erick Mondragon manages the team from there. The person you talk to can book the visit on that call.
Pests we see most
Argentine ants
Ants are one of the four pests we're called about most, and the Argentine ant behaves differently from the ants most people grew up with. UC IPM describes Argentine ants as large connected colonies rather than single nests, which is why spraying the trail on the kitchen counter rarely ends the problem. The colony reroutes. They trail indoors in hot, dry weather looking for water and again after rain when their outdoor nests flood, which in Temecula and Murrieta means the summer months and the first storms of winter. Lasting control combines slow-acting baits the workers carry back to the colony with a treated perimeter around the house and sealing the gaps where the trails come in. Small things help too, like fixing a dripping hose bib or trimming a shrub that touches the stucco.
Black widows and brown widows
Spiders are the call that worries families the most. Western black widows are common across Southern California, and so are brown widows, which have spread through the same neighborhoods. UC IPM lists where each one settles. Black widows favor garages, block walls, wood piles and clutter. Brown widows stay outside, under patio furniture, on play structures, along fences and in the corners of the eaves, and they're uncommon in garages. Neither spider goes looking for people, but both sit in the kind of dark gap a hand reaches into when you grab a pool toy or move a planter. Spider control works those harborage areas, and the technician can tell you which spots around your home to check between visits.
Roof rats in the attic
Rats and mice are the other big call in Murrieta and Temecula, and the common local culprit is the roof rat. UC IPM notes that roof rats live high up, in trees, palms, vines and attics, and travel along fences and utility lines to get there. The scratching in the ceiling at night, the droppings in the garage, the chewed irrigation lines and the gnawed citrus on the tree can all point to the same animal. Our rodent work is trapping and exclusion, which means sealing the gaps they use, and the exclusion is quoted separately. Any bait goes in tamper-resistant bait stations. We'll also point out the palm fronds and vines that give them a bridge to your roof.
Drywood and subterranean termites
Termites are a different kind of problem, because the damage is quiet and the decisions are expensive. Southern California has both drywood termites, which live inside the wood itself, and subterranean termites, which come up from the soil. Our termite inspector does the inspections that show which one you have and how far it's gone, and writes the WDO reports that realtors and escrow companies ask for when a home in Temecula, Murrieta or Menifee goes into escrow. That inspection and report cost $99 for a sale or refinance. We do the termite treatment ourselves, and when a house needs fumigation we arrange the tenting through a subcontractor. If you're buying or selling, ask about our realtor services when you call.
Earwigs, wasps, mosquitoes, fleas and roaches
The rest of the year has its own rhythm. Earwigs come out of damp mulch and leaf litter after irrigation and spring rain, and they show up in bathrooms and under door sweeps. Wasps build under eaves, in block wall weep holes and in playground equipment from late spring through the hot months. We remove wasp nests, but we don't handle bees. Mosquitoes breed in standing water, which here means neglected pools, bird baths, clogged gutters and the saucers under potted plants. Mosquito treatment is an add-on to the Quarterly plan, priced by the size of the yard. Fleas ride in on dogs and cats and settle into carpet and bedding. Roaches turn up around dishwashers, water heaters and drains. Crickets and silverfish are on our list too. UC IPM notes that silverfish favor damp, dark spots like bathrooms and stored boxes and feed on starchy things such as paper and glue, and that field crickets come toward outdoor lights at night. Jenni can tell you which of these a plan covers and which is a separate job.
How it works
Tell us what you're seeing
Call (951) 535-4220 or send the form. Tell Jenni where you've seen the pests, how long it's been going on and whether you have kids or pets. A photo of the bug helps. That call usually tells us whether it's a one-time problem or a seasonal one.
We book the visit
Jenni finds the next open slot for your address, anywhere from Corona to Carlsbad. Ask about a one-time treatment or a plan on the same call. The inspection and estimate are free.
The technician comes out
You don't need to be home. If you are, point out where you've seen the pests: the ant trail by the back door, the garage corner, the palm frond touching the roof. If you're out, tell Jenni those spots when you book and the technician will have them.
We treat for what you called about
The technician treats for the pests you reported and tells you how long to keep people and pets off any treated areas. Every product label sets its own re-entry time, so ask if you want the detail for your visit.
Follow up on a schedule that fits the pest
For a one-time job like a wasp nest, that's the end of it. For pests that return with the seasons, like ants, spiders and earwigs, a plan brings a technician back monthly, every other month or quarterly.

Huge shoutout to Romel for the amazing job today. The cobwebs around the eaves of my home had really built up, and bugs were starting to accumulate on them. Romel went above and beyond by clearing everything out and making the exterior look clean again. His work was thorough and professional. I’m genuinely impressed and highly recommend him and this company.
Edward Delos Reyes Lorenzo with Source Pest Control was absolutely fantastic! From the moment he arrived, he was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He was thorough, respectful of our home, and made sure the job was done right rather than just rushing through it. It’s hard to find someone who takes that much pride in their work and genuinely cares about the customer. Lorenzo went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and Source Pest Control to anyone looking for reliable, honest, and professional pest control service. Great service, great communication, and a great experience from start to finish. Ask for Lorenzo, you won’t be disappointed!

What a regular visit covers
People compare companies on what a visit covers, so here is ours. The technician treats for the pests you called about. Perimeter treatment in general goes where pests get in, along the foundation line, at the entry points and around the garage, so tell us where you've seen activity and ask the technician what your visit covers. You don't need to be home, and most of our customers prefer not to be. The technician tells you what to do next, including how long to keep kids and pets off any treated areas. If the pests come back before your next scheduled visit, we come back at no charge. On a plan, the visit repeats monthly, every other month or quarterly, and the quarterly visit lands ahead of most of the seasonal peaks in this valley.
Kids, pets and treated areas
Families with kids and pets ask us about products. Our technicians apply every product according to its label, which sets where it can go, how much can be used and how long people and animals need to stay off a treated surface. Because each label sets its own time, the technician tells you how long to keep kids and pets off the areas treated on your visit, and what else to do. When families ask about the products themselves, we tell them the products we use are labeled for use in hospitals and daycares. Tell us about the dog, the cat, the koi pond and the toddler when you book.
Commercial pest control
If you run a business, we handle commercial pest control across both counties too. We schedule visits around your business hours and provide written service records. Our commercial accounts include restaurants and food service, offices, retail, multi-building properties, property management and warehouses. Tell Jenni about the building and what you're seeing when you book.
Questions to ask any pest control company
Here is how to tell pest control companies apart, whoever you end up calling. Ask who's coming to the house and whether you need to be there. Ask what will be applied, where, and how long to keep kids and pets off it. Ask what happens if the pests come back between visits. Ask whether the first visit locks you into an agreement, and for how long. Then read the reviews and look for technicians mentioned by name. We'll answer all of those questions on the first call.
Plans, one-time treatments and price
We know plenty of people are price shopping, and plenty more hesitate to sign up for an ongoing service. Both are fair. On the phone we'll tell you whether a one-time treatment will solve what you have, or whether the pest you're describing comes back every season and is easier to keep ahead of. Plans start at $45 a month on a 12-month agreement, one-time treatments start at $249, and the inspection and estimate are free. Ask Jenni anything on the first call, then take the time you need to decide.
Where we work
From the Murrieta office we cover 20 cities across Southwest Riverside County and North San Diego County, from Riverside and Corona down through Temecula to Escondido, Vista, Oceanside and Carlsbad.
Common questions
How fast can you get to my house in Temecula or Murrieta?
Fast response is the main reason customers choose us, and a same-day visit can happen when the schedule allows. Our office is in Murrieta and serves Temecula, Menifee and 17 more cities. Call (951) 535-4220 and Jenni will tell you the next open slot for your address before you hang up.
What about my kids and pets during a treatment?
The technician tells you what to do after the visit, including how long to keep pets and children off treated areas. Our technicians are licensed through the State of California and apply every product according to its label. Source only uses products that are labeled for use in hospitals and daycares, and we treat each home like a sensitive area. Tell us about your pets and children when you book.
What does a quarterly pest control visit include?
A technician comes every three months to treat the pests that come back with the seasons here, and you can point out the spots where you've seen activity. The Quarterly plan comes with or without rodent control, and a pest that shows up again between visits means a free return trip. Monthly and Every Other Month plans run on the same 12-month agreement, and across the three plans prices start at $45 a month. Termites are a separate service.
Do you handle Argentine ants?
Yes. Ants are one of the four pests we're called about most, and in Temecula and Murrieta that's usually the Argentine ant. UC IPM describes Argentine ants as large connected colonies, which is why spraying the visible trail doesn't end the problem. UC IPM's advice is bait the workers carry back to the colony plus sealing the gaps where the trails come in, and a plan keeps a technician coming back through the summer heat and the winter rains when they push indoors.
Are black widows common around Temecula and Murrieta?
Yes. Western black widows and brown widows are both common in Southern California. UC IPM lists garages, block walls and wood piles for black widows, and patio furniture, play structures, fences and eaves for brown widows, so those are the spots to check around your home. Spider treatment works those harborage areas, and the technician can tell you what else your visit covers.
How do I get rid of rats in my attic?
Roof rats are the usual attic rat here. UC IPM notes they live high in trees, palms, vines and attics and travel along fences and utility lines. Our rodent work is trapping plus sealing the entry points, with the sealing quoted separately. Any rodent bait goes in tamper-resistant bait stations. Trimming the fronds and vines that bridge them to the roof helps too.
Do you do termite inspections for a home sale?
Yes. Our termite inspector writes the WDO reports that realtors and escrow ask for in Riverside and San Diego counties, and the inspection and report for a sale or refinance cost $99. Southern California has both drywood and subterranean termites, and the inspection shows which one, where and how far it has spread. We do the treatment ourselves and arrange fumigation through a subcontractor when a house needs tenting. If you're buying or selling, ask about our realtor services when you call.
Do I have to sign up for ongoing service?
No. A single problem like a wasp nest or a one-off flea treatment is a one-time job and we'll say so on the phone. One-time treatments start at $249. Ants, spiders and earwigs come back with the seasons in this valley, so for those a plan is the steadier way to stay ahead of them. Plans are 12-month agreements. We'll tell you plainly which one your situation is and let you decide.
Is there a first-visit offer?
Yes. The first visit is $49 when you start a Monthly, Every Other Month or Quarterly plan. Each plan is a 12-month agreement, and if you cancel early you pay back the $200 first-visit discount. The inspection and estimate are free either way, so ask Jenni which plan fits before you decide.
Do you treat bed bugs?
Yes. We treat bed bugs with heat and with traditional treatments, and the inspection and estimate are free. UC IPM notes that bed bugs hide close to where people sleep, in mattress seams, box springs, bed frames and headboards, and that you confirm them by finding the bugs or their signs, such as dark spots, egg cases and shed skins. Call (951) 535-4220 and tell Jenni which rooms you're seeing them in.
Why do earwigs show up after I water the yard?
Earwigs shelter in damp mulch and leaf litter, so irrigation and spring rain bring them out and toward the house. UC IPM notes they hide by day in moist, shady spots and feed at night. Pulling mulch back from the foundation, fixing leaky sprinklers and clearing leaf litter all help. Earwigs come back with the seasons here, so they suit a plan, and if they return between scheduled visits we come back at no charge.
Which cities do you serve?
20 cities across two counties. In Southwest Riverside County: Temecula, Murrieta, French Valley, Winchester, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Menifee, Hemet, San Jacinto, Perris, Moreno Valley, Riverside and Corona. In North San Diego County: Escondido, San Marcos, Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad and Fallbrook. The office is at 29990 Technology Dr Ste 13 in Murrieta, open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.
